New, expanded edition of Slavery, Terrorism and Islam – the Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat has received much interest and positive responses, from as far afield as Alaska and the Middle East. Yesterday I received a message from a Christian in a Middle Eastern country which he says blocks access to our www.frontline.org.za website. However he accesses it whenever he is out of the country.
He mentioned how blessed he has been by the ministry of Way of the Master and Frontline Fellowship. “It’s silent heroes like you that inspire us to push the envelope in our Christian walk. It’s men like you that are indeed true to the Word of God. Unfortunately, much of the Gospel preached centres around health, wealth and prosperity so that evangelism such as you engage in is the remotest thing on the mind of many Christians.”

"Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare, lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left…" Isaiah 54:2-3 Celebrating 30 Years on the Frontline In 2012, we celebrated 30 years of God's grace, mercy, provision, guidance and protection. A special celebration rally was held in the Pinelands Town Hall where we praised God for His provision and protection over hundreds of successful Missions to 34 countries and tens-of-thousands of services and outreaches. Many hundreds-of-thousands of Bibles and New Testaments have been distributed in well over 100 languages. Many tens-of-thousands of pastors, teachers, chaplains, medics and Evangelists have been trained and more prayers have been answered, and miracles experienced, than we could possibly catalogue. A 16-page, full-colour collectors edition of Frontline Fellowship News: 30 Years on the Frontline was printed, including many pictures of Frontline outreaches in Mozambique, Angola, Zimbabwe, Zambia, the Congo, Nigeria, Rwanda, Romania and Sudan. Let the Earth Hear His Voice
By God's grace our intensive three-week Great Commission Course was much blessed. Participants travelled from as far afield as America, Australia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, and from all over South Africa. The Great Commission Camp was held in a forestry reserve, on the mountains, beside a lake. The second phase of the Great Commission Course was run from the Frontline Fellowship Mission base. Stretching Minds and Muscles Each morning, (with the exception of Sundays) began with vigorous PT, Devotions, and lectures on a wide range of Missions subjects. On 3 December, as 60,000 people flocked to Cape Town stadium, we mobilised a Gaga Concert Outreach team of 35 people who were there to meet the Gaga fans with a friendly smile and a question. "Did you get one of these?" We distributed over 6,000 Gospel leaflets including: "Going Gaga? Here is what to Expect…", which used some of Gaga's lyrics to springboard into a Gospel message.
Hostile and Positive Reactions Some were hostile, some swore at our team members and tore up the tracts. But others could be seen sitting and reading the tracts, or standing in groups discussing its content. Some were grateful and thanked us. The Law of the Lord is Perfect - Converting the Soul Our outreach team also conducted numerous Music and Your Spiritual Beliefs surveys with concert-goers. The surveys, based on Evangelism Explosion and Way of the Master questions, drew the participants into a Gospel discussion, using the Law of the Lord as the schoolmaster that leads us to Christ. Many Evangelistic discussions ensued. Africa Missions
There is no such thing as a normal week in Frontline Fellowship. Missions is an adventure. A never-ending stream of challenges, opportunities and obstacles to overcome are part of any week. During September we had Mission teams across the border in Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. I had a conference in KwaZulu and a Missions conference, services and seminars in Mpumalanga. This was followed in quick succession with radio and TV programmes and the Healthcare Christian Fellowship conference, a Missions conference in Bloubergstrand and the Convergence 2012 conference at the University of Stellenbosch. MISSIONS to KWAZULU, MPUMALANGA, ZAMBIA and MALAWI
"Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all…" 1 Chronicles 16:24-25 Mission to KwaZulu By God's grace I have safely returned from Missions to KwaZulu and Mpumalanga. This involved speaking at two conferences, preaching at two churches, ministry at two Mission bases, at two schools and at two colleges and a radio station. All in all it involved 52 speaking engagements including two assemblies, two sermons, five conference presentations, 20 lectures and 23 radio programmes. KwaSizabantu Mission It is always a tremendous joy to visit KwaSizabantu Mission. This is, without doubt, the most blessed and productive Mission station in the whole continent of Africa. It is always a hive of activity, and most importantly, a place where God's blessings flow. MISSIONS to NIGERIA, SOUTH AFRICA and ZAMBIA
"Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances she cries aloud." Proverbs 1:20-21 Missions in the Mall Frontline Fellowship missionaries and staff in Cape Town have taken part in a series of outreaches in five different shopping malls in and around Cape Town. On 9 August, 77 volunteers helped us distribute 9,500 Gospel tracts and leaflets and 2,230 balloons with Scripture and pro-family messages on them. By God's grace, during their 12 hours Mission to the malls, we were able to counsel over 56 people and explain to them the way of Salvation. Biblical Worldview Seminar
Despite incredibly cold weather (for South Africa), including snow blocking the national roads and mountain passes and torrential rain, which caused flooding and rock falls which blocked our return route, our Biblical Worldview Seminar in Riversdale was well attended and blessed with warm fellowship. Snow and Icy Conditions Fail to Dampen Enthusiasm Coming in the midst of the coldest and wettest week in a very cold and wet winter, we drove through pouring rain and past snow capped mountains to the venue 300km East of Cape Town. I had expected that the torrential rain and freezing cold conditions would drastically diminish participation on the course. However, I was pleasantly surprised that, from early in the morning until late at night, the participants came promptly and enthusiastically, often with their blankets to wrap around during what sometimes seemed like an arctic survival course. (Indeed we have received reports of thousands of vehicles stuck in snow on our national roads, homes flooded and people frozen to death and drowned on this freezing weekend.) Shipments, Missions, Seminars and Summits
The last three months seem to have been a marathon race of Missions and meetings. Receiving, off-loading, sorting and sending out shipments of Bibles and books. Sending off Mission teams to Zimbabwe and Zambia, and travelling throughout South Africa to conduct a Great Commission Seminar, Biblical Worldview Summit, church services, film ministry, lectures at Bible Colleges, tent evangelism, outreaches, speaking at Missions Conferences and on radio programmes. After a series of Missions to Mpumalanga, Gauteng, North West Province, travelling by road and later by air, I headed off for the series of flights needed to begin my speaking tour in the United States. All around we see evidence of a rising tide of godlessness. Crime and grime, litter and pollution, pornography and prostitution, gambling and drunkenness, drug abuse and urban decay, legalised abortion and child abuse, corruption in government and racial quotas in the workplace, sex education and social engineering in schools, hostility to Christianity and intolerance of Biblical standards.
“I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before Me in the gap, on behalf of the land, so I would not have to destroy it …” Ezekiel 22:30 |
