By God’s grace, we have enjoyed some tremendous ministry trips and outreaches where we have had the joy of seeing people brought to conviction of sin, souls saved and lives transformed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Changing Lives On aircraft, on the road, in conference centres, on the streets, outside dens of inequity, and in remote areas we have had the joy of bringing the life-changing Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to young and old, rich and poor, from a wide variety of social and cultural backgrounds.

Briefings From the Battlefronts
By God’s grace Frontline Missionaries have safely returned from the Congo, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Intercessors and supporters in Cape Town will have a unique opportunity to receive firsthand eyewitness testimonies from some of the battlefronts of the World War of Worldviews raging in Central Africa. This Thursday evening, 7:30 pm 17 April, a Frontline Fellowship Missions Rally will be held in the Pinelands Town Hall in Cape Town. “ Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is
to be feared above all…” 1 Chronicles 16:24-25 25 Years in the Frontline This last year we celebrated 25 years in the frontline. Friends from far and wide gathered at the Pinelands Town Hall, 29 March 2007, to celebrate God’s grace and prayer answering power. More than an hour before the rally was to start the hall was already so full with mission supporters that the programme started half an hour early, with a screening of a special new 25 Years on the Frontline DVD with selected highlights of professional films made on Frontline Mission trips over the years. This included film clips from the arrest in Zambia, the capture and imprisonment in Mozambique, ministry and bombardments in Sudan, and rare footage of the earlier years of the mission and its military prayer fellowship. For your edification, and for intercession, here is a small selection of remarkable, written responses that we have received by mail, or E-mail, from friends and supporters, and from the field. Please continue to lift up these people and countries in prayer. And please continue to intercede that our publications, field trips and courses may continue to renew minds, transform lives, change hearts and disciple nations.
We praise God for His blessings and protection during a tremendous month of ministry. October has been packed with prayer, productivity and power.
The Crusades and Jihad Maranatha Christian Fellowship again organized a series of public meetings for me in three universities in Minnesota, this time on The Crusades and Jihad. Previously I’d been invited to speak at the universities in Minnesota on Sudan, and on Slavery – The Rest of The Story. These presentations had engendered a lot of controversy and attention, particularly from Muslim students. This year’s university meetings on The Crusades and Jihad received even more opposition from Muslim and Atheist students. (The full presentation, with PowerPoint, is available on audio and data CDs along with the question and answer sessions on separate CDs from Frontline Fellowship). Minstering to Muslims The first meeting at Minnesota State University in Mankato was packed out, with standing room only, and with people sitting on the floor. Many Muslims came and participated in the question and answer session afterwards. The discussion time was lively, often highly emotional and volatile. Students who identified themselves as from Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Pakistan, Iran, Syria and Sudan participated in the often tumultuous discussion time. BIBLICAL WORDVIEW SEMINAR IN A CONVERTED HINDU TEMPLE
By God’s Grace, our mission to KwaZulu was packed and productive. Taryn Hodgson, the Co-ordinator of Africa Christian Action, and I were invited to conduct a Biblical Worldview Seminar for Indian Christians in a converted Hindu temple in Chatsworth. Nearly a hundred Christians participated in this day-long seminar which included lectures on: A World War of Worldviews; The Fight For Life; Humanism is Self-destructive; God’s Law or Chaos; God and Government; A Christian Action Workshop and an Evangelism Workshop. Some participants drove from far away, including three ladies from Richards Bay. Many of the participants are already planning to conduct Life-Chains in their area for 7 October. The discussion times were vigorous and discussion groups reported back on practical programmes for action. Many books and CDs were sold and large quantities of Christian literature taken for distribution to the various churches represented. What is working effectively in your area of ministry?
Our leadership training programmes, particularly the Great Commission Course and Biblical Worldview Seminars are working well. The literature production and distribution is greatly appreciated and in high demand. Books that have been specifically produced to assist with the leadership training courses have been particularly effective. This includes: The Greatest Century of Reformation, the Discipleship Handbook, Biblical Principles for Africa, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam, The Greatest Century of Reformation. In Africa books get read and then sold – this means each book reaches more people. Combining Bibles, books and bikes is helping to put wheels under the Word and multiplying ministers effectiveness. “Intense, practical, mind-stretching and mind-renewing!”
“An amazing experience - the best camp I’ve ever been to.” “Fantastic! Really pushes you to move outside comfort zones! Learnt and grew a lot! Loved the physical side.” Those were some of the written responses from participants of our 3-week Great Commission Course in Cape Town. In many ways this was one of the most difficult and complicated courses we’ve ever hosted. Every year, since 1995, Africa Christian Action has used National Women’s Day, on 9 August, as an opportunity for outreaches in the shopping centres. This year ACA mobilised outreaches in 8 shopping centres countrywide. Tens of thousands of leaflets and Gospel tracts were printed and five thousand balloons with Scriptures and pro-family messages were produced for the event. Over 100 volunteers took part in the various outreaches in Bloemfontein, Kroonstad, Port Alfred, Chatsworth and throughout Cape Town.
By God's grace, our Reclaiming Africa for Christ Biblical Worldview Summit (BWS) was greatly blessed. Over 100 delegates participated from as far afield as America and Australia, Ghana and Nigeria, Romania and England, Zambia and Zimbabwe and from all over South Africa. There were also many day visitors who joined in on different aspects of the programme.
The weeklong Biblical Worldview Summit (29 June - 6 July) included 14 lecturers, 8 films, outreaches in the nearby town and townships, visits to the Huguenot Monument and Museum, a parallel children's programme, Evangelism Workshops, a Science and Scripture Workshop, Public Speaking and Debating Workshop and a Christian Action Workshop. Some of the topics dealt with included: The Battle for Your Mind, A World War of Worldviews, Reclaiming the Nations for Christ, Rediscovering Our Christian Heritage, Reviving Our Churches, Restoring God's Creation, Reforming Our Society, Mind Poison - The Hollywood Assault on the Christian Worldview, The Worst Disaster, The First Battlefield, Education - Laying Foundations for the Future, The Crisis in Zimbabwe, Combating Crime, Reclaiming Young People for Christ, Idols for Destruction, Revitalising our Families, Returning to God in Repentance and Restitution and much, much more. The lecture notes, Biblical Worldview Manual and audio CD's of all of these presentations are available from Christian Liberty Books (P O Box 358 Howard Place 7450 Pinelands, South Africa; Tel/Fax: 021-689-7478; Email: [email protected]). |
